We are excited to announce that nominations for the Apex Learning 2015 Award of Excellence are now open. This annual award program honors schools or districts that demonstrate extraordinary vision and dedication to increasing student achievement through blended and virtual programs. Recipients are recognized for implementing effective digital learning programs that have a meaningful impact on student outcomes and have the potential to be replicated by other schools.
Educators and administrators are encouraged to nominate their school or district using the online application by February 13, 2015. Recipients of the Apex Learning Award of Excellence will be notified by April 15, 2015 and honored at regional Apex Learning Blended Learning Conferences in the spring.
2014 Award of Excellence recipients implemented blended and virtual programs to tackle the most pressing challenges districts face - increasing graduation rates, ensuring all students graduate college and career ready, and providing equitable learning opportunities that transcend geographic barriers to name a few. "Receiving the 2014 Apex Learning Award of Excellence has provided an opportunity for us to share the success of the Catoosa Online Academy and to showcase our efforts to improve student achievement through blended and virtual learning," said Kyra Rhyne, program coordinator for the Catoosa Online Academy.
