Dropout Prevention: Leveraging Digital Resources for Greater Student Outcomes

March 06, 2019

For many students, the need to recover only one or two course credits is all that stands between them and graduating from high school. It’s important to monitor student progress in order to recognize the signs that a student may drop out and provide personalized support early enough to be effective. With alternative options and the right support, at-risk students can successfully reach their goal of graduation.

Danielle Cox-Jones will share the steps taken to review and revise implementations of digital curriculum to help ensure greater outcomes for Chicago Public Schools’ high school students. The webinar will highlight how the district assessed and currently manages the district's high school credit recovery program, helping students master challenging coursework and earn the credits they need and stay on track for graduation.

You will learn:

  • How to use real-time data to monitor student progress and determine the best way to help each student achieve.
  • How to build individualized learning plans that efficiently guide a student’s learning and focus their efforts on the material they need to grasp so that they can earn course credit.
