Chris joined Apex Learning in November of 2019, bringing with him more than 20 years’ experience in education market leadership. The son of an educator, and brother to an EdTech entrepreneur, he exemplifies a lifelong a passion for the impact that education and technology can have on students, communities, and the world.

Chris comes to Apex Learning after serving as President and K12 GM for PowerSchool LLC. Prior to his most recent tenure at PowerSchool, Chris held multiple senior leadership roles during his 11 years at Pearson, including Managing Director of K12 Learning Services Sales and Shared Operations. During this time, Chris also served two terms on the Education Technology Industry Network Division (ETIN) board of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).

Early in his career, Chris was instrumental in the initial growth of PowerSchool, which was acquired by Apple in 2000. Chris spent six years at Apple, continuing the growth of education technology solutions, until joining the senior leadership team at Pearson. He was responsible for Pearson’s technology, content, and software solutions across all aspects of PreK-12 education.

Drawing on his experiences with high-growth entrepreneurial environments and market-leading education companies, Chris leads Apex Learning’s work to help districts throughout the country create more opportunities for more students.

Chris holds a B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and an Executive Leadership credential from Stanford University in Stanford, California.
