3rd-Party Implementation Study of District Use of Apex for Virtual and Hybrid Learning

February 01, 2022
Frenship Independent School District, TX

Hanover Research conducted a mixed-methods product implementation evaluation that explored Frenship ISD experiences implementing and using Apex Learning products and services within the district-wide virtual and hybrid learning environments that resulted from the global pandemic between spring 2000 and fall 2021.

Frenship ISD (FISD) chose Apex specifically during this time period since many teachers already knew how to use the system, support students, and receive support from Apex’s customer services. FISD prioritized the ability to adjust Apex course content to mirror the district scope and sequences to better support students who were transitioning from virtual to in-person learning throughout the year. Apex’s alignment with standards, product design, and product features all strongly influenced the district’s decision to choose Apex. They found Apex is easy to navigate and they especially appreciated the support from their Success Manager, the Helpdesk, and their Support Coordinator. Apex provided the virtual platform needed to support FISD students during the quick transition between virtual and in-person learning. Even in a completely virtual environment, Apex helped districts achieve successful results.
