Herkimer turns tide on sliding graduation rates

Utica Observer-Dispatch — 2017 — Earning a high school diploma is a milestone Herkimer Central School District officials would like to see more of their students achieve. The graduation rate for the district cohort had dropped to 69 percent by the time Robert Miller took over as superintendent in 2013. Since then, Miller said, some improvements have been made. After implementing Apex Learning for credit recovery, the current district graduation rate is now on average with the rest of the state.
