Strategies for Supporting Students In a Hybrid Instructional Model

November 17, 2020 1 p.m. Eastern

As districts have made the shift to hybrid or fully online instructional models this year, many educators are still grappling with how to ensure student engagement and academic growth in these virtual settings. For educators new to facing these concerns, join us to learn from a school district that has been doing this for a long time.

Big Rapids Public Schools has run a top-performing virtual school for several years. When the pandemic began, they were able to smoothly expand that program to provide hybrid instruction to all their middle and high school students. Principal Mitch Cumings will join us to share insight into how their instructional model works and offer strategies for keeping students accountable, engaged, and advancing in their academic growth.
